BlueCross Technology Academy Students Kick-Off the School Year

Students from the BlueCross Technology Academy at Red Bank High School spent a day at the company’s Chattanooga offices to help kick off their year of learning. They used LEGOs for a team problem-solving activity and spoke with employees from the BlueCross information services team about their education and career paths.

The program launched at Red Bank in 2018 as part of the Future Ready Institute initiative for Hamilton County Schools. Now, leaders from the BlueCross technology team are helping to tailor curriculum to provide high school students with the skills necessary for post-secondary success. The BlueCross Technology Academy at Red Bank High School will combine engaging classroom learning with professional mentors to prepare students for technology careers.
