The Hixson Council of the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce will recognize their contribution to the eight public schools in the Hixson footprint at their last meeting of the 2015-2016 fiscal year on Wednesday. The Hixson Council supported the public schools by awarding grants totaling $3,000. Each school principal has confirmed their attendance and will briefly explain how the Council’s grant benefited their school.
Understanding we must educate train, attract, and invest in a workforce that is able to compete and grow in the 21st century, the Hixson Council is committed to helping our schools in several ways.

We also support the innovative Hixson High School Internship program by hosting a business and student meet and greet and we are thrilled to see the program expanding.”
The mission of the Hixson Council is to champion member businesses and implement a comprehensive strategy to promote economic growth within the Council’s footprint.
The Hixson Council meeting is held at the third Wednesday of each month at noon at the Hixson Civic Center, 1009 Executive Dr.
