About Chattanooga 2.0:

Chattanooga 2.0 is the collaboration of dozens of organizations across sectors, who began work in 2015 with the goal to transform education and workforce outcomes. The Chattanooga 2.0 backbone organization supports partners in creating proof points, driving collaboration, measurement, and in the alignment of policy and practice to ensure all children and youth in the county receive a quality education and career opportunities that help them realize their full potential.

 

Position Overview:

We are looking for a passionate changemaker to join us as the Future Fund Engagement Coordinator! The Chattanooga Future Fund program is an initiative of Chattanooga 2.0 to invest in the bright futures of Hamilton County’s public school students. Every kindergarten and middle school student can receive up to $150 in a career and college savings account—and that’s just the beginning. With support from the community, students can earn and save even more as they grow, all while learning about money, planning for their futures, and dreaming big.

Our goal? To spark financial confidence along with career curiosity and readiness from an early age, helping students build a strong foundation for success after graduation. When the time

comes, students can use their savings to fuel their postsecondary plans—whether that’s college, trade school, or another exciting path.

In this role, you will help ensure every child has the support they need – both from their community and financially – to build a strong foundation for their future. You will be at the heart of our work, supporting existing strategies and helping create new, impactful ones. From sharing program information with families at community events, to organizing data that shows our impact, you will be a connector, an advocate, and a key player in driving systems-level change.

 

Duties:

The Future Fund Engagement Coordinator will:

  • Support parent program education and sign-ups at school and community events, as well as virtually one-on-one
  • Assist in hosting engaging, informative financial literacy and career planning workshops for families that spark curiosity and build understanding
  • Administer weekly monetary contributions into student accounts, followed with update communication to parents
  • Assist in designing and sharing eye-catching flyers, handouts, and other materials that highlight program benefits and engage students, families, and other stakeholders
  • Distribute Future Fund materials to schools, community partners, and families as requests and needs arise
  • Support the collection, analysis, and organization of program data (e.g., activation rates, workshop engagement, contribution tracking, etc.)
  • Offer friendly, hands-on support (in person and online) to help families navigate the Future Fund platform with confidence
  • Gather and use feedback from families and students through surveys, email communication, and focus groups to help shape the future of the program
  • Support volunteer coordination and help to plan program events that engage families, partners, and stakeholders in the Future Fund initiative
  • Help coordinate logistics for school events, outreach campaigns, and info sessions with families and partners
  • Prepare reports and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders to communicate program growth and challenges
  • Manage emails, social media, and phone inquiries to ensure smooth and friendly program communication
  • Create and connect online family-owned career & college savings accounts
  • Maintain accurate records of community partner contributions and volunteer involvement
  • Support the Chattanooga Future Fund team with administrative tasks as needs arise to help advance the impact of the program

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree not required; candidates should have comparable experience and capabilities. Strong relationship-building, clear communication, and the ability to think strategically, analytically, and creatively are most important for this role
  • Skilled in using spreadsheet programs (Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, etc.) to organize data, manage records, and generate reports
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented multitasker with a passion for education and community development
  • Ability to work some evening and weekend hours for school and community events
  • Comfort with data tracking, reporting, and using digital tools for communication and project coordination
  • Strong communicator; able to explain complex processes with clarity and warmth across various contexts and media
  • Experience leveraging CRM platforms to maintain consistent stakeholder engagement
  • Confidence public speaking and comfortable leading small group presentations
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and cultural competence
  • Proactive, self-directed, and adaptable; every day looks different in our line of work!
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across organizations, partners, and diverse stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Familiarity with Hamilton County school system and the socio-economic context of Hamilton County, TN

 

Schedule and Location:

Flexible. Core work hours are 9am – 5pm, M-F. Our work involves convening community stakeholders, which means meeting with busy people when they are available to meet. The position is hybrid, with a mix of virtual and in-person meetings in Hamilton County, Tennessee required.
