This season, as we enjoy quality time with loved ones, we give thanks for our abundance of blessings and for the honor to live in a prosperous and caring community. And we’re not alone in our thankfulness. 

Across the country and here in Hamilton County, on Tuesday, November 27, businesses, charities, community members, and families will all join together with one united goal: to give back.

On Giving Tuesday, we are coming together as a community to celebrate and encourage generosity. Many of our coalition members, including the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce, Causeway, United Way, and the Community Foundation, have joined together to bring Giving Tuesday to Chattanooga.

Last year, #CHAGives raised nearly $500,000 in 24 hours. This year, Chattanooga has a goal of reaching $750,000.

With over 200 nonprofits and 400 community partners participating, there are multiple ways you can get involved. Make a charitable donation or volunteer your time to an organization that needs an extra hand.

Education affects each and every one of us and touches all parts of our community. By giving to one of the over thirty schools and education partners represented and helping them continue their efforts to improve education from birth through career, you are helping ensure all our students, regardless of their age or socioeconomic status, have access to a high quality education that leads to a good paying job.

We also have several ways you can support Chattanooga 2.0 and our efforts to double the number of postsecondary degrees and certificates of our Hamilton County residents.
