Hello!
Across Tennessee, our state regulatory agencies want to support child care providers in creating safe environments where children can thrive. In recent years, however, many providers have encountered a lack of clarity as they prepare for fire marshal inspections. When creating this handbook, our collective goal was simple: to make navigating health, safety, licensing, and quality standards as straightforward and practical as possible so you can focus on what matters most: supporting children’s well-being and learning.
You may have also stumbled upon this page because you found that what one regulatory agency requires of you contradicts what another has told you to do. Please submit the contradiction you have encountered at this form and we’ll be happy to list it below and ensure the state agencies are aware of the conflicting information.
If you have questions about this handbook or see a needed correction, you can submit that at the form below as well.
Thank you for what you do every day for Tennessee children!
